Grove Brewing Company Partners With Kiwanis to Celebrate Dolly Parton and Support Her Imagination Library
“9 to 5: A Celebration of Dolly Parton” will bring music, custom drinks and live entertainment to Kingsville while raising funds for local children’s literacy.
KINGSVILLE, ON — September 15, 2026 — Grove Brewing Company is partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Windsor/Essex to present 9 to 5: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, a tribute to the music, spirit and extraordinary legacy of one of the world’s most beloved entertainers.
Taking place Friday, September 25, at Grove Brewing Company in Kingsville, the event will raise funds for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the celebrated book-gifting program founded by Parton in 1995. The program provides free, high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five, with the Kiwanis Club of Windsor/Essex serving as its local program partner.
Throughout the day, guests will be surrounded by the music and unmistakable personality of Dolly Parton. Grove Brewing Company will also introduce a specially designed cocktail called the Backwoods Barbie. One dollar from Backwoods Barbie sold that day, and a dollar from every pint of Grove Brewing Company’s Tailgate Lager and Tailgate Light will be donated to the local Imagination Library program. Guests will also be able to make cash donations on site throughout the day.
Representatives from the Kiwanis Club will be at the Grove to share information about the Imagination Library and its work in the region. A life-sized Dolly Parton cutout will provide the perfect photo opportunity for guests joining the celebration.
The evening will culminate in a special live performance by The Ashley Lynn Experience, featuring Dolly Parton favourites alongside music from artists influenced by her, including her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus. Known throughout Windsor-Essex for its energetic, genre-spanning performances, the Ashley Lynn Experience brings together country, rock, pop and soul through Ashley Lynn’s remarkable range and the band’s signature showmanship.
“Dolly Parton has meant so much to so many of us—not only through her music, but through the way she lived her life,” said Jeff Smith, owner of Grove Brewing Company. “Her warmth, humour, generosity and belief in looking after the people around you feel completely at home here in Kingsville and throughout Essex County. We’re incredibly proud to celebrate everything she gave us while helping amplify the Imagination Library and its important work for children and families in our community.”
As new proclamations are signed almost daily by local governments, the Town of Kingsville has also joined the festivities, with Mayor Dennis Rogers proclaiming Friday, September 25, 2026, Dolly Parton Appreciation Day in Kingsville. Businesses are encouraged to participate in their own ways.
